Details : On 14 Nov (Friday), a delegation from Andhra Bank, Mysore consisting of Sri Balasubramanyam, Dy, GM, Sri Guru Prasad, branch Manager and 3 other officers visited Vanitha Sadana from 11:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs. The purpose of the visit in this children's Day was to introduce BANKING to children so that they come to know the importance of Savings/earnings at the early age. As a first step, about 20 children were facilitated to open accounts and were given passbooks with their names written on it. Two schemes-AB LITTLE STAR for children between 10 and 15 years and AB TEENS for children between 15 to 18 yrs were introduced. Later the delegates were taken to school's vocational sections and were shown the training being given there. Sri Guruprasad promised to look into the possibility of extending small amount of loans to these trainees for buying sewing machines once they complete the training.
