Krishnamurthy Puram,Mysuru
The very first meeting of VSAA was held on 20 July 2024 at the school premises. It was a memorable event as the old students numbering about 90 who had studied in the school seven or eight decades ago had gathered for the first time at the school. The school was decked up with banners, balloons and buntings which gave a festive look. It was a wonderful opportunity for old mates to meet, mingle and reminisce the time passed by. It was a 3-hour program held under the Chairmanship of Shri B R Ravi, President, SSSNE&C Trust and Smt Bharathi N , President, Vanitha Sadana. The high light was a ceremony honouring the three students (Sri Raghunatha Rao, Sri Krishna Prasad Kaniyar and Smt. Shyamala Jayaram) who were the first to get admission in the Nursery section of Vanitha Sadana way back in 1939-40. Some senior students including Sri V K Sundar of 1959 batch, Sri Sreedhar Murthy of 1964 batch, B R Mukund of 1968 batch, Smt. Vimala and Smt. Chinmayee were given an opportunity to talk about their days as students of Sadana. The very famous school prayer SWAMY DEVANE.. was sung by some of the students. Dr K.Kumar( 1976 batch) and Mrs Nudi(2001 batch)show cased Bharathanatyam and the skit respectively as part of the cultural program. Sri Uday Shankar, lead, VSAA gave an overview of the association’s activities. Sri B R Ravi spoke on the current status of Vanitha Sadana and its future plans. Smt Bharathi also spoke about Sadana’s journey thus far. The function ended with a sumptuous lunch sponsored by Sri Varada Atur (1965 batch) based in USA. Sri B R Achuta (1965 batch) chose the menu and gave the spread a five star look. Every one highly appreciated the lunch and the ambience. The other attraction was the gift (crocheted mandala)given to the 3 senior most students and Smt Bharathi crafted by Smt. Vijayalakshmi Rao, w/o B. R. Achuta. Mrs Srimathi ( 1980 batch) took the role of the MC which was executed to the perfection. There was plenty of opportunity for photo sessions and bonhomie among the old students, a thrill to watch. To sum up the meet was a great success and achieved what it set out to do.

ವನಿತಾಸದನ ಪುರಾತನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮಹಾಧಿವೇಶನ
ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ, ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ವನಿತಾಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೆ ಓದಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ. ಆರ್. ರವಿಯವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ೨೦ ಜುಲೈ ೨೦೨೪ ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ನೆರವೇರಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ೮೭ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ದಾಖಲೆಯಾಯಿತು. ೧೯೩೯ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ವನಿತಾಸದನ ಶಿಶುವಿಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮೂವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯೆ, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯಿನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರ ಪುತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎನ್. ಭಾರತಿಯವರನ್ನೂ ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ, ಕಿರು ನಾಟಕ, ಗಾಯನ, ಸವಿಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ವನಿತಾಸದನದ ನವೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವನ್ನು ಸಫಲವಾಗಿಸಿದರು.
