Details : Independece Day was celebrated with the usual demonstrations of gaiety and patriotism in the premises of Vanita Sadana on 15th August, 2014. The Chief Guest, Dr. M.A. Jayashree, a professor of Sanskrit and a scholar in the field of Indian Culture,delivered an interesting talk on the significance of Independence Day, and involved the assembled children in singing a couple of choral songs in praise of Bharat Mata. The event featured a variety of group dances and drills, depicting the three colors of the Indian national flag and the central figure of Bharat Mata, and was neatly organized in keeping with the Gandhian ethos of the institution.
