With a view to facilitate children of our school quickly pick up English sentences commonly used in our day to day life, a lecture by Sri D K. Puroshotham Rao was arranged at the school on 21 Jul from 1100 hrs to 1230 hrs. About 70 children studying in class 7-10 attended the talk. Sri Purushotham, a resource person with vast experience in teaching English told the children the importance of English in the present day world and how children can start conducting their routine conversations in English if they master 2000 English sentences. He presented several charts containing commonly used sentences in Kannada with English translation for use by the children. He advocated setting up an English lab in the school for teaching spoken English to our children. He offered his help to take this project forward.
