Details : On Jan 4th, a lecture-cum-demonstration the subject 'HOW TO MAKE ECO FRIENDLY HAND MADE PAPER' was organized at Vanitha Sadana to the benefit of our vocational trainees. The 2 hour work shop was conducted by Sri N. Lakshman Rao Pawar, C/O Sri Ganesh Gramodyoga Sangha, Hand Made Paper Unit, Gavadagere, Hunsur Taluq. Shri Pawar has more than 30 years of experience in paper making having qualified from Hand Made paper Institute, Pune. He has given such demonstrations in various colleges, schools, NGOs ,associations etc. He is also working as a consultant to some of the enterprises. During his 2 hour session at Sadana, Sri Pawar gave a practical demonstration of paper making using basic methods using eco friendly substances like non wood raw material like agro waste, waste papers etc. He also explained how these paper could be put in to commercial use. Enough opportunity was given to the trainees to make sample paper using the basic method.
